After some nervous nights and mornings, news come through the wire that New Jersey's very own, Titus Andronicus, have in fact completed their latest record and it has a title, a tracklist, and everything. The new long-player sports the title, Local Business, and will be released on October 23 via XL Recordings. Initial reports allude to a press release which states that Local Business "deals with the 'inherent meaninglessness of life' and...empowers individuals to 'create their own values and morality'." A couple of songs have already passed through the internets, most notably "Upon Viewing Oregon's Landscape With the Flood of Detritus" which was performed during the WFMU telethon back in the winter. Full tracklist, and empty glasses to follow. (via Pitchfork)

This is turning out to be such a fun time of the year. On September 18, Grizzly Bear will release their latest long-player entitled Shields via Warp. Lead single "Sleeping Ute" dropped a few weeks back, and now "Yet Again" arrives. Songs like this lead even the most rational of journalists to firmly believe that there may be some good around the bend. Go ahead, and give it a listen.
