New Titus Andronicus Album

After some nervous nights and mornings, news come through the wire that New Jersey's very own, Titus Andronicus, have in fact completed their latest record and it has a title, a tracklist, and everything. The new long-player sports the title, Local Business, and will be released on October 23 via XL Recordings. Initial reports allude to a press release which states that Local Business "deals with the 'inherent meaninglessness of life' and...empowers individuals to 'create their own values and morality'." A couple of songs have already passed through the internets, most notably "Upon Viewing Oregon's Landscape With the Flood of Detritus" which was performed during the WFMU telethon back in the winter. Full tracklist, and empty glasses to follow. (via Pitchfork)

Fresh & Onlys - "Presence Of Mind"

As previously mentioned, the Fresh & Onlys have a new jawn headed our way. Long Slow Dance touches down upon us on September 4 courtesy of Mexican Summer. "Yes or No" was the other day, and now here is "Presence of Mind". There's no concrete evidence to support this, but listening to this song will make today better.  (via stereogum)

Thee Oh Sees - "Flood's New Light"

Yes, yes, yes! While this tiny little site is largely incapable of doing anything correctly and is perpetually miles behind the curve at every turn, that is all irrelevant because Thee Oh Sees are releasing a new album. Putrifiers II will arrive via In The Red on September 11. That's roughly a month away so until then feast on two cuts below. (via p4k)

Grizzly Bear - "Yet Again"

This is turning out to be such a fun time of the year. On September 18, Grizzly Bear will release their latest long-player entitled Shields via Warp. Lead single "Sleeping Ute" dropped a few weeks back, and now "Yet Again" arrives. Songs like this lead even the most rational of journalists to firmly believe that there may be some good around the bend. Go ahead, and give it a listen.

Fresh & Onlys - "Yes or No"

One of San Francisco's many fine acts, the Fresh & Onlys, are prepared to release a brand new record. It'll be called Long Slow Dance, and will arrive September 4 via Mexican Summer.  Enjoy a new song entitled "Yes or No" below (via Brooklyn Vegan)
